How to build and run a live training quiz

Write the questions, open a session with a code, run it from your screen while the team answers on their phones, then give points to the podium.

The Training space turns a product or sales training into a game. You write the questions once, open a session whenever you want, and your team answers live from their phones. Correct answers earn quiz points, faster answers earn more, and at the end you can send points to the team leaderboard.

Before you start

The team must be invited: participants sign in with their usual Stoloros account.
A session needs at least one question. A quiz in Draft can still be launched: the status is only a reminder for you.

Steps

1. Write the quiz

Open Training in the navigation, type a Quiz title and click Create the quiz.
Click Add a question. Choose the Type:
- Multiple choice (one answer): 2 to 6 options, one correct.
- Multiple choice (several answers): several correct options; the answer is right only if the selection matches exactly.
- True / false.
- Short answer: list the accepted answers, one per line; accents, case and punctuation are ignored.
- Bonus question: like single choice, but a wrong answer never costs anything.
Set the Time (seconds) (5 to 180, or empty for no limit), the Points mode (Normal, Double, Negative when wrong, No points) and the Base points. Add an Image address (https, optional) if you like.
Click Save the question. Reorder with the arrows, edit or delete at any time. Duplicate copies a quiz with all its questions; Archive hides it without deleting past sessions.

2. Open a session

Click Launch a session on the quiz. Choose who can join: The whole team or Only these teams (the sub-teams you set on the members, separated by commas). Keep Allow points to the leaderboard at the end ticked if you want to reward the podium.
Click Open the session. The host screen shows a 6-character code and a QR code; project it or share it. Participants open Quiz in Stoloros (or scan the code) and enter it.
Names appear in the lobby as people join. Click Start.

3. Run it

Each question shows the countdown and how many people answered. Click Reveal the answer at any time (the timer ends it anyway). The right option turns green and the answer counts appear.
Click Show the leaderboard, then Next. Pause freezes the timer; Resume continues it.
End the session closes it early; Cancel the session closes it without a result.

4. Give points

When the session ends, the podium appears. Under Points to the general leaderboard, set the points for 1st place, 2nd place, 3rd place and Everyone else, then click Give the points. Each participant gets one action in My performance named after the quiz. The button can be used once per session.

Result

Participants see their score, their rank and the podium. Past sessions keeps every session with the number of participants, the average and the best score, and the per-question results (correct answers, average time).

Good to know

Scoring: a correct answer gives at least half the question's points, plus a speed bonus up to the full value when answering instantly. Only the first answer counts, and answers after the timer are refused.
A participant who refreshes their phone comes back into the same session.
Only one session per quiz can be open at a time. Opening a new session for the same quiz cancels the previous one.
Leaderboard points follow the usual rules: they appear on the leaderboard and in the digest like any other action, and they can be seen by the whole team.

FAQ

Can reps see the questions in advance?

No. A question is sent to participants only when it starts, without the correct answer. The answer is revealed only when you click Reveal the answer.

Someone joined late. Can they still play?

Yes. They join the current question and score from there. Questions already closed stay at zero for them.
