How to cancel a manual award

Remove points given by mistake from the award history, while keeping a visible trace in the action log.

Gave 500 points instead of 50, or chose the wrong rep? You can cancel a manual award from the Award history. The points are removed, and the rep's action log keeps a trace so everything stays transparent.

Before you start

  • You are signed in as a manager.
  • The competition that contains the award is still open. Once a competition is closed, its final standings can no longer change.

Steps

  1. Open Manager area and scroll to the Award points card.
  2. Under Award history, find the award. Each line shows the points, the rep, the reason, the note, the date and the manager who gave it, for example "+500 · Ben Ito · Custom".
  3. Click Cancel award (1 on the screenshot).
  4. The line asks Remove these points? Click Yes, cancel the award to confirm, or No to keep it.

Result

A message confirms the cancellation, for example "Award cancelled: Ben Ito loses 500 points. The action log keeps a trace." In the history, the line is greyed out and struck through, with the date of the cancellation and the manager who cancelled it.

The rep's total goes down on the leaderboard for every period that contained the award. In their Action log, the original award is marked "later cancelled", and a Manager award cancelled line shows who cancelled it. The total still equals the sum of the log and of the breakdown.

Good to know

  • Cancellation cannot be undone. To give the points again, create a new award.
  • Any manager of the team can cancel any award, not only their own.
  • Awards are never deleted: the history keeps both the award and its cancellation. This protects trust in the leaderboard.
  • If the award belongs to a closed competition, Stoloros refuses the cancellation with "This award belongs to a closed competition: its final standings can no longer change." The button is still shown, but the points stay.

FAQ

Will the rep be notified?

Not by email. They see the change on the leaderboard and in their action log.

Can I edit an award instead of cancelling it?

No. Cancel it, then create a new award with the right rep, points or note.

Why is there no Cancel award button on a line?

The award was already cancelled. Its line shows "Cancelled" with the date and the manager's name.
