How ties are broken
When two reps finish a competition with the same points, deals won decide, then whoever reached their total first.
A podium needs a clear order. In a competition, two reps never share a place: Stoloros applies the same tie rule for everyone, and shows it under the standings.

How it works
In a competition, reps are ranked by these criteria, in this order:
- Points: the highest total comes first.
- Deals won: with equal points, the rep with the most deals won in the competition comes first.
- Who reached their total first: if points and deals won are still equal, the rep whose last point was scored earliest comes first. They got there before the other.
- Alphabetical order of names, as a last resort.
The rule appears under the final standings and in the closing recap: "Ties: most deals won first, then whoever reached their total first."
It applies to the Competition tab of the leaderboard, to the closing recap, to the ceremony and to Past competitions. On the Week, Month and Season tabs, reps with the same points are simply listed in alphabetical order.
Example
Weekly competition "Week 43, 2026" at Acme Sales, closing Friday at 18:00. Three reps finish on 420 points:
| Rep | Points | Deals won | Last point scored |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ben Ito | 420 | 2 | Wednesday 10:05 |
| Ana Ruiz | 420 | 3 | Thursday 16:10 |
| Chloé Martin | 420 | 3 | Friday 11:45 |
- Ben Ito has 2 deals won, against 3 for the two others. He is 3rd, even though his last point came first: deals won are checked before time.
- Ana Ruiz and Chloé Martin are still tied: 420 points and 3 deals won each.
- Ana reached 420 on Thursday at 16:10. Chloé only reached it on Friday at 11:45. Ana got there first.
Final standings: 1st Ana Ruiz, 2nd Chloé Martin, 3rd Ben Ito. With 3 winners celebrated, all three get their place and reward in the ceremony, in that order.
Good to know
- A deal won beyond a daily cap does not count for the second criterion. By default, deals won have no cap.
- A manual award counts as a point like any other: it can change who reached their total first.
- An action received after a closing counts in the next competition, at the time it was received.
- Once a competition is closed, its order is frozen and never recalculated.
FAQ
Why is my colleague ahead of me with the same points?
They won more deals in the competition, or they reached the same total before you. Open Past competitions > See final standings to compare deals won.
Can a manager change the tie rule?
No. The rule is the same for every team, so results stay predictable.
