Daily caps
A daily cap limits how many actions of one type earn points per rep and per day, so the leaderboard rewards real work.
Daily caps keep the game fair. Logging 40 empty notes in a row will not put anyone at the top of the leaderboard.

How it works
- Each action type has its own cap, per rep and per day. With the default rules: Deal moved up a stage 10 per day, Meeting booked 5, Deal created 5, Task completed 15, Call made 20, Note added 10. Deal won has no cap.
- Actions count in the order they happen. The first actions of the day earn points until the cap is reached.
- Beyond the cap, the action is still logged. It shows in the Action log with Daily cap reached, not counted and earns 0 points.
- The day follows your team's time zone. At midnight, every cap starts again from zero.
- Caps are on by default. A manager can turn them off with Anti-gaming: daily cap per action type in the Scoring rules card, or change each cap from 1 to 1,000.
- Manager awards are never limited by daily caps.
- Challenges count the same way: an action beyond the cap does not move your challenge progress.
Example
Acme Sales uses the default caps. On Monday, Ben Ito catches up on his notes and logs 14 notes. He also moves 12 deals up a stage.
- Note added: cap of 10. The first 10 notes count: 10 × 5 = 50 points. The last 4 earn 0.
- Deal moved up a stage: cap of 10. The first 10 moves count: 10 × 20 = 200 points. The last 2 earn 0.
Ben earns 250 points on Monday. In his Points breakdown, the note line reads "Up to 10 per day · 4 over the cap, not counted".
On Tuesday, Ben logs 3 notes. The cap has started again, so all 3 count: 3 × 5 = 15 points.
Good to know
- The leaderboard and the Points breakdown always use the same rule, so the totals match.
- If the caps are turned off, every action counts, with no limit per day.
- Changing a cap applies to actions logged after you save. Past days are not recalculated.
FAQ
I logged more than the cap on purpose. Can the extra actions count later?
No. An action over the cap stays at 0 points. It still appears in your log, so nothing is hidden.
Why is there no cap on won deals?
Every won deal is real revenue, so each one counts.
